The automotive industry occupies a large space in society. There are constant efforts of all car manufacturers for improving the systems integrated within vehicles in order to reduce consumption, increase safety, to protect the environment and so on. On the other hand, technology has penetrated into all spheres of life and that is the case with the automotive industry as well.Electronics and intelligent systems as the most perfect form of technology deeply penetrated into the automotive industry. Guidelines for the development of automotive industry are aiming towards electric cars. Staff which is learning today will be capable to work at least after 2 to 3 years, and in order for the school to be up to date with the development of the automotive industry it is not enough to follow the trend, but to be a step ahead of such development.
Review of the labor market in the last five years shows that the students with completed technical schools are not ready to compete at the labor market. The main disadvantages are obsolete curriculum, insufficient implementation of practical work and insufficient number of partner organizations trained to serve the need of, and to include total number of students who have to attend practical classes. On the other hand, statistics shows that vocational schools in Macedonia lose attractiveness.
As per above mentioned, the needs of the school were:
To increase managerial competencies for cooperation between the school and its partner organizations
Employees to acquire international experience in regards to organization of practical training of students
Introduction of new teaching methods and tools
Increased competitiveness of educated students at the labor market in the country and abroad
Students with improved language skills
Modernization of curricula of vocational subjects and practical training
Students to gain international experience in practical teaching
Increase of the mobility of teachers and students
To implement competences and plans, our school will use the first version of the school policy plan drafted as an intellectual output of the course, to develop a long term school policy plan within six months after completion of the course.
Our school wanted to apply good practices in the functioning of the partnership between the school and the partner organizations in the way of implementation of practical instructions so that together with the students who have attended the training is going to organize debates in the school for the positive and negative experiences in carrying out practical work. From those debates and analysis of the report by the teachers who have participated in mobility, the guidelines shall be derived for improving the practical teaching in the school.
Moreover, we would like to apply for a Erasmus+ KA 2 partnership, hopefully with one or more partner schools that took a part in course in order to implement and disseminate gained knowledge in schools with good practices.
The project born from this analysis and for these reasons sets as:
