PROJECT
FINISHED
The goal of ADICE, and of this project, is to enable the social and professional development of learners and job seekers (including those with fewer opportunities) through a rewarding mobility experience, which is built according to their own ability and ambition. Indeed, ADICE considers the mobility experience as a tool which allows the development of technical, transverse and social skills, all favoring employment. Furthermore, the employment area in Nothern France, and especially in the North-East part (cities of Roubaix and Tourcoing), is characterized by a strong unemployment rate and by the existence of districts which are socially and economically isolated. This emphasizes the relevance of ADICE’s project and main activities.
Through this project “European Mobility: Key Opportunity for a New Generation” (KONG), ADICE has sent, during 2 years, 46 learners in vocational training and job seekers, in mobility for purpose of learning, in the eligible countries of the European Union: in United Kingdom, in Malta, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Latvia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain and Poland. These mobility projects were characterized as professional internships in company or non-profit organizations for 3 months, 6 months and 10 months. This project also allowed us to do 4 other mobility projects for our staff in vocational training, for 1 week training activities in Spain, United Kingdom, Germany and Italy.
Those internships have been built according to the path, sector of activity, professional project, needs, expectations, and profiles of the participants. Indeed, ADICE, since its creation in 1999, aims to promote European mobility, but also aims to fight against discrimination, work on equal opportunities, and social and professional promotion of people with fewer opportunities. With these values and this diversity of people, ADICE’s activities are opened to every learner, young people or job seeker in Nothern France, and its projects do not require any special qualification, language level or age limit. These projects are also characterized by a variety of geographical destinations, durations, and sectors of activity, to be, in this way, adapted to fit the objectives, needs, and profile of each individual. Considering the diversity of the public, ADICE has developped a pedagogical support composed of several steps (before, during and after the mobility project), with relevant tools that aims to strenghten its educational approch in European mobility for every type of participant.
