The strong impact of EU integration on all aspects of life and current challenges (refugees / migration; new health technologies etc.) create a need for in-depth teaching on EU integration & ethics. This project comprises: - 2 MOOCs (broad dissem.) - 2 BA and 3 MA courses (students of business law; int. healthcare manag.) - in total: 138 teaching hours & 22 ECTS per yearIn addition: - Conference - Academic guest lectures open to public - Guest lectures in secondary schools to foster active citizenship of younger generation. To enhance impact, the visibility of results and activities will be promoted by continuous and sustainable open access dissemin. activities. The advisory board will foster dialogue with policymakers (Austria; Europ. Parlam.) and collaboration with other JM Chairs. The suggested approach (in teaching & research) enhances understanding for the interconnectedness of EU integration & ethics and enhances students’ employability. The wider public will be integrated both offline (open guest lectures) and online (MOOCs).New teaching & debating technologies (MOOCs, blended learning) enable a wider range of participants (internat. students; other departments). Innovative teaching methods (e.g. flipped classroom) will stimulate excellence in teaching. By preparing students for reflective, socially-responsible professional practice, and enabling them to understand the wider social context, this proposal fosters students’ employability.A multi-disciplinary (law, philosophy, etc.) and international advisory board, including scientists (other JM chairs) and policy makers (e.g. Europ. Parlam.) will provide valuable feedback for excellence in teaching and research (assurance of quality; strong network; ensuring a holistic approach). All outcomes available open access (e.g. website; eBook; MOOCs).This project recognises the need for EU integration & ethics, by conducting innovative research, launching open educ. courses and disseminating outcomes.
