“Inovatyvi karta” initiates a project “Europe connects people” based on practical education and social integration. The slogan of Europe Union is “United in diversity”, however we should realize that Europe faces to the problem of willful integration. Migration crisis that exists now both in European Union and outside its borders emphasize inter cultural conflicts and disability of European citizen. We can notice, that different states of Europe and its societies do not have consciousness of European public spirit. That is why misunderstandings between communities rises and cause rejection of „other“ – intolerance. Due to all those reasons the process of willful integration could not happen. We have to solve this problem together! We could make a step to purposeful integration when we would perceive and understand ourselves as Europe citizens. Only running together we could understand integration as a self-contained process. It will help us to find out not only who we are, but also to understand “others“.The goal of the project is to prove Europe as a “united diversity” of its cultural, economical, political and historical backgrounds by practical activities. The specific objectives of this project will be:1. To raise awareness on the topic of multicultural integration based on understanding of European public spirit, by researching who is Europe citizen and Europe citizenship in general.2. Reveale differences and similarities which connect European people and create willful integration – united Europe.3. To encourage tolerant attitude about other religions, cultures and different nationalities.4. To unite people with different religions, nationalities and cultural traditions in all Europe.Participants will be selected taking into account the following criteria – interest and motivation to discuss and solve the issues of integration, migration and Europe public spirit. The core of the project is to try to eliminate border between “us” and “them”.Moreover, project “Europe connects people” conform the nowadays priorities: stimulation of diversity, inter cultural dialogue, debate the topic of migration crisis (like refugees), promote youth activities and integration, critical thinking, values of freedom and tolerance. We believe, that non-formal education (workshops, debates, simulations, sports outdoor activities) will help participants to understand integration, migration, public spirit and also the main goal of Erasmus + Youth Exchange program in the right, easy and valuable way and share their experiences later in native countries. At the end of the exchange a short movie about it will be created by the participants with great involvement of local community. This project consists of the Youth exchange to be held in Perloja, Lithuania from 30th May to 10th June, 2016 and of the Advanced Planning Visit to be held from 9th to 11th May, 2016 in Perloja, Lithuania. This project will gather together youth from different European Union countries: Cyprus, Greece, Poland, Netherlands, Latvia and Lithuania (4 participants from each country, between 18 and 25 years old, and a leader, without age limit).
