More persons, losing their job due to the economical crisis, will be asked to get back to the labour market, mobilising their skills and competences in applying for a new job. Our project is linked to the priority 1 of the Call 2009, aiming at integrating “transparency” policies and tools (EQF and ECVET implementation) and the proper use of actual devices adopted by the European Commission, such as the Europass Portfolio. The project transfered and adapted the existing model of a previous initiative (Europass+), looking for solutions targeted mainly to adult, low qualified workers and job seekers. We fostered the usability of Europass+, thinking at the conditions needed to develop a mutual trust between companies and job seekers about the use of the Europass CV. The main outcome of the project is an improved version of the on-line tool, providing the users with helping devices, in order to help them in recognising their competences, reflecting upon their working and life experiences, in describing their competences in terms of learning outcomes. The tool allows the users to freely store, update and produce their European CV, with the help of a complete set of examples of how to describe their competences, providing proper evidences in a narrative way and adding references and documents. The project supports also the efforts made by Europass-Italia and the network of NEC, to improve the European CV, developing an effective on-line web site to promote the dossier in a more interactive way.
