Europäische Impulse für Qualitätssicherung in der beruflichen Ausbildung und Praxis
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The mobility project "European impetus for quality assurance in vocational education and practice" includes the mobility of both Leipzig trainees and training staff from various disciplines. The overall objective of the different mobilities is to improve the knowledge of the participants in their field of expertise to the extent that the training and professional practice gain sustainably. To say it in short succinctly: In the field of vocational training it should be learned from the best. This is particularly true in the areas of emergency services and elder care, in which areas useful practices and innovations successfully implemented in other European countries should be acquainted and incorporated in the German context. To achieve this 6 people per group will travel for a one week study visit each, to the UK in order to get to know the paramedic training as example , to Sweden to experience the generalised training in the care sector. The group of 20 Human resources professionals and VET teacher and trainers, members of wisamar educational institute and participants in a further training about Europeanisation of vocational education, should primarily get to know insides into relevant and important European approaches in their practical implementation, such as ECVET in Spain. The eight trainees from LAB - Leipziger Aus- und Weiterbildungsbetriebe GmbH Leipzig will have the opportunity to enhance their professional and personal, foreign language and intercultural skills in a in a three-week internship in a transport company in Seville, Spain. An intensive language course at the beginning of the stay, as well as a comprehensive on-site mentoring by the receiving organisation Praktica will facilitate entry into new working relationships and everyday life in Seville. The stay of the participants will be prepared and evaluated by the sending institution wisamar in joint information meetings. In close cooperation with the local project partners and wisamar internships, study visits programmes, accommodation, meals and travel of participants will be organized. Also the monitoring and evaluation of the learning outcomes and the monitoring and evaluation of the stay on site will be conducted transparently and in close cooperation between all partners. As the results and impact of the mobility project, all participants shall be able to strengthen their professional and foreign language skills. Secondly, the experience of the European mobility should provide an important impetus for the expansion of personal horizons, self-awareness, personal responsibility and the ability to work in and contribute to new (working) relationships.A long-term benefits of the study time abroad is obtained for the participants by increasing their chances on the labor market - those who gained professional experience abroad as well as new personal and professional skills and competencies complement their profile as professionals in the long term. Last but not least for LAB and St. John's Academy the successful participation in a mobility project increases the attractiveness of their education and training facilities within Leipzig and beyond.
