"Europe grows together". To keep up the European spirit by using modern media like eTwinning, Skype, facebook etc. and improving ICT skills. As our school has a multi-cultural profile, which enhances our day-to-day school life, it is of great importance to understand the diversity of our students, to be able to integrate them accordingly. This project Erasmus KA1 involves a critical number of teachers concerning Europe and internationalisation for cross-curricular teaching and for improving the integration of our European students, like Polish, Russian, Turkish and Bulgarian. Integration means to understand and to accept the diversity, to give them appopriate support, which will help them later in their careers. Eleven teachers will be part in this project. Two teachers (English and Mathematic) will spend one week job-shadowing at our partner school (grammar school with mathematical main stream) in Bulgaria. They will learn new methods of teaching and they will consider cross-curricular teaching with foreign languages eg. bilingual, teaching Maths, using English). Additionally two teachers (German and Maths) will do a one week job-shadowing, observing mainly Maths and German lessons, to learn new methods and to improve their internationalisation at our Turkish partner school. Two further teachers (German and Music) will spend one week teaching at our Polnish partner school. This involves our etwinning project, that we developed with our Polish partners. It will be put into practise and be continued. Further three teachers will attend an in-service course abroad to improve their command of Englsh and to learn new teaching methods, creating new materials, perhaps by using modern media. Their improved command of the spoken and written English will enable our colleagues to take part in other etwinning projects and / or further European projects like Erasmus KA2 or PASCH Schulen ans Netz. Two more teachers will take part in an in-service training course abroad to develop their ICT skills eg. taccle.eu and of course to find potential partners for our future projects. We hope that our experiences, learnt at our partner schools and the educational use of ICT will enhance our lessons, working in a communicative way, motivating our teachers and students.
