The implementation of the project Europe is US made by the teachers of Zespol Szkol w Rząsce will thoroughly help change the way our school functions and make it a modern European school which will educate creative students who will be interested in contacting students from abroad and exploring the surrounding world.The school aims to:- develop its individuality,- make its offer more attractive for students, - elaborate innovative and creative actions both for the students and the local community,- shape a student who is aware of other cultures and is open to them,- contact and cooperate with teachers from other countries in order to share our experiences,- get to know other countries' traditions and customs,- increase the teachers' language skills,- help students communicate fluently in foreign languages, - exchange students with other European schools, including visits in centres for scientific research.THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECTSThe training and language courses in which the teachers will take part and all the actions which will be taken will help us achieve the objectives of the project, that is:1/ raise the teachers' qualifications and skills,2/ promote linguistic diversity and cross-cultural awareness,3/ develop basic cross-sectional skills (entrepreneurship, IT, foreign languages, mathematics, science),4/ implement innovative methods of teaching,5/ use of IT skills in teaching and international cooperation ,6/ strengthen the school's European and international dimension PROJECT PARTICIPANTSMonika Musiał-Taźbirek - teacher of German, the head teacher Beata Ziębińska - teacher of English, deputy headMałgorzata Dabrowska-Pelechacz - teacher of arts, deputy headVioletta Kramek, Karolina Kielian, Iwona Turnau - teachers of scienceBeata Korbiel - teacher of early school educationMałgorzata Kuśtrowska - teacher of historyJadwiga Baściuk - teacher of after-school clubACTIONS IN THE PROJECTSome actions have already started and will be continued throughout the whole period of implementing the project, its summary and evaluation. The actions include:1/ diagnosing the school's needs as far as the teachers' participation in the project is concerned,2/ cooperating in laying down a European Development Plan,3/ improving the teachers' language skills, 4/ writing reports (also financial ones) as a summary of the course participation,5/ presenting the effectiveness of the course to our local community,6/ implementing the good practices in our school in order to make it function better,7/ cooperating with other schools in Poland and abroad,8/ promoting the cultural diversity, foreign language learning, cultural diversity and science9/ promoting openness, tolerance and respect for diversityEXPECTED RESULTS1/ more and more students are aware of cross-cultural differences and are open to other cultures, meet teenagers from other countries,3/ more and more students use their IT, entrepreneur and language skills and are good at maths and science,4/ the knowledge of the English language enables the teachers to read educational materials online and share their experiences with teachers abroad,5/ more and more teachers take part in international conferences concerning education, 6/ innovative methods of teaching are implemented and used, e.g. CLIL7/ new tools in teaching and international cooperation are used, 8/ the European dimension of our school is strengthen and the international outreach of our school is broadened by implementing international projects, e.g. job shadowing.
