Europa für alle - 2014-2015
Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: Mar 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Youth Academy Walberberg connects through its activities national and international partners who mainly work with the target group of “young people from disadvantaged backgrounds” in bilingual and multilingual projects. A united multilateral network-centric organization meeting about youth exchange in the context of Erasmus+ deals with a founded debate about goals, prospects and boundaries of european cooperations. Particularly it deals with the conceptions of framework conditions and conflict management in various projects and the understanding of diversity-conscious exposure. The meeting of those network-centric organizations should on long-term goals achieve the ability to act equally. The participating professionals know each other mostly from binational cooperations, the “grander European sigh” shall be encouraged by this meeting same as common quality standards of international youth work shall be further developed. Part of the networking meeting is a one day advanced training about diversity-conscious in international youth work. Also the Youth Academy’s national partners are invited to help spread this attitude and enhance the basis of non-formal education. The idea of diversity-conscious youth work will be integrated into further developing future projects. Sixteen professionals will participate in the five day networking meeting, usually two per institution from Ireland, Bosnia, France, Germany, Poland and Italy. These professionals have longstanding experience in organizing and conducting international youth meetings and are partly also accredited as a sending and hosting organization for EVS. Established instruments like the youth pass and the possibility of an EVS are addressed again respectively worked with since not all partners have worked with these methods before. The aim is at activating the network beyond binational contacts, developing of new projects, open communication about troubles and solution-oriented constructive collaboration. The personal getting to know makes communication in international collaboration easier in the long term and also simplifies the usage of each partners know how. The two other measures – sending a German volunteer to NYP2 in Dublin and hosting a Bosnian volunteer in the Youth Academy – shall support the positive interaction within the network as best as possible. To give an example, the relatively new joined member in the network, the human rights organization CIM from Sanski Most, has a lot of knowledge and methodical experience in the domain of human rights work, active citizenship and creative forms of protest. This knowledge can be transported into the educational work of the Youth Academy through the EVS volunteer from Sanski Most. Furthermore the results of the contact of the EVS-volunteer sent from the Youth Academy to Ireland can be used for the bilateral and multilateral encounters with the NYP2 in Dublin and can also be made available for a common summer camp in 2015 for which first planning shall take place at the networking meeting.
