Euro-learning for Social and Health Care Students

The focus of the project Euro-learning for Social and Health Care Students has been the establishment of mobility in Itzehoe for social and health-students (SSH) from the Basic Health Care College Fredericia-Vejle-Horsens. The partners in the project is Akademie für Gesundheits- und Sozialberufe and the Basic Health Care College Fredericia-Vejle-Horsens. The student mobilities have involved the municipality of Vejle, Fredericia and Kolding. Originally the project was initiated in cooperation with the municipality of Fredericia but due to great interest the project was expanded to the other municipalities as well. With this project the college as well as practice (by whom the students are employed) to give the students a chance to Work and evolve internationally. The project supports ET 2020 objectives regarding reinforcement of language learning, linguistic diversity and intercultural understanding and competences. The students get the opportunity to compare Work and theoretical content of their education transnationally. On a personal level the the students are challenged at their curiosity and patience working abroad. With the mobility the students have been encouraged to excel linguistically and SOSU FVH has sought to offer German as an elective langauge to support future Projects in Europe. At a organizational and stategic level the project is in accordance with the colleges defined international strategies. The students in this project is Social- and Health Care Students in their "internship 2 period" and involves 20 students. In cooperation with practice the college has developed a catalog with the tagets for the internships. All students that have been abroad has been given presentations for the college about the experiences.
