EUprenship_European Mobility Internships
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "EUprenship_European Mobility Internships" covers three target groups: 40 Trainees in IVT; 20 recent graduates of VT; 9 participating staff. The main objectives of this mobility project are: - Develop technical and professional skills in the basic training areas of participants in IVT and recent graduates; - Improve language and soft skills; - Develop a pilot project for a contextualized ECVET to VET stages of mobility, favoring the connection and closeness of European pedagogical practices, contributing to equality of opportunity and promote youth mobility and recognition of qualifications between EU countries, based on trust, mutual respect and transparency; - Promote the inclusion and equality of opportunity in the access to training and employment. The Participants are students and adults of the northern region, with intermediate and high level qualifications. Considering that this is a region heavily affected by unemployment and economic insecurity that is felt in the context of the current crisis that the country is facing, it makes sense to develop actions that contribute to improving the skills of young people and their employability, as well as the development of integrated actions that facilitate the free movement of students and workers in the E.U. The project comprises a set of three fundamental activities (mobility of trainees in IVT, mobility of recent VT graduates and staff mobility), that will be carried out in different flows. In the case of the mobility of IVT trainees and recent VT graduates, two mobility flows for each of following countries will be carried out: Romania, Germany, Spain, Poland and Ireland. In reference to the staff, two flows will be carried out for the following countries: Romania, Germany and Poland. IVT trainees and recent graduates undertake work placements lasting from 4 or 8 weeks, respectively. These placements should be directly linked to the development, improvement of technical skills in the participants’ field, in addition to putting these skills and knowledge into practice. In reference to the staff mobility, this consists of an exchange of knowledge and teaching experience within the assessment of learning outcomes and their transfer, in addition to conducting a series of workshops aimed at the consistent implementation of ECVET within the partnership. In reference to the participants, the following results are expected: - Increased self-esteem, self-confidence and self-efficacy; - Development of personal, social, civic and intercultural skills; - Development of language and soft skills related to the labor market; - Openness and willingness to ALV and European mobility; - Development of knowledge and technical and professional skills in each participants area of training; - In reference to the recent graduates, it is expected that up to 1 year after the completion of the European mobility, all participants have found employment or have developed a project for the creation of self-employment; - For IVT participants, it is expected that up to 1 year after completing the course, all participants have arranged employment or have developed a project for the creation of self-employment. At the organizational level the following are expected: - Increased organizational know-how, as a result of improvement of knowledge and know-how of the internal human resources, through the transfer of knowledge and skills of participants (staff) to colleagues, via briefings and training on ECVET; - Improvement of methodological instruments and devices, with regard to training and assessment and validation of learning outcomes. In short, the project focuses on actions that contribute to improving the skills of students, encouraging European mobility of students and workers and for the recognition of qualifications in VET between EU countries. Therefore, it is directly linked to the context of the principles advocated by the EU 2020 Strategy, Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18/Junho/2009, Copenhagen Declaration and Treaty of Maastricht.
