1- Taking into account the Principles of the Treaty of Lisbon, following the Europe 2020 strategy, this project has been designed aiming to develop the international dimension of the school through four basic actions: - Reinforce foreign language competences of the teachers involved , in order to improve their communication skills and therefore be more efficient when developing future European programs like KA2 or promoting mobility activities for students . Also improving innovation in education and implementing CLIL materials in different subjects - Improve the quality of education knowing , comparing and analyzing educational systems and national curriculum in other countries. To get know other methodologies to enhance the teaching - learning. The project aims to reduce school failure and early school leaving , but also intends to exploit our intellectually gifted students potential. In both cases, ensuring equal opportunities for all students without cultural or gender distinction. - Use and integration of XXI century Education Skills, digital tools that provide innovation, motivation and aim to reduce early school leaving, train students and provide them with the skills required by a digital society. - The project will be a useful tool in order to approach the real needs and to improve the school management as well as the distribution of spaces and learning environments . The goal is to develop the human potential through education ,matching the real needs of students, teachers and staff. 2 - Number and profile of participants : The number of participants is a group of 12 teachers belonging to different departments (the board, coordinators of several European projects-Comenius and eTwinning- , and teachers participating in the Comenius mobility) All of them are involved in other European programmes like Comenius and now, KA2 and are in charge of the European dimension of the school. 3 - Description of activities : There are two types of courses ,English Language and Internationalization strategies with two courses in Finland , in order to compare Educational systems, teaching methodologies and practices as well as organization of spaces in the country that has topped the PISA Education Rankings. 4 - The methodology used to carry out the project : Active- participatory, collaborative , based on communication and integrating shared experiences in the school project, trying to improve teaching competences. 5 - Brief description of the results and expected impact : - improve teachers foregin language competence. - Material CLIL - School Internationalization: increasing of the number of topics on Europe, its countries and their institutions in the currículum. - Posters and permanent notice boards for European information - Reduce school failure and early school leaving through innovative practices that motivate and integrate - Modernization and Progressive changes in school management. -Increased cooperation between all levels of education - Increased the communication and collaboration with Europe - Promotion of Lifelong Learning 6 - Finally , the potential long-term benefits : - Students have a deeper understanding of Europe and its cultural diversity as well as of their labour markets when their school training ends. - A European identity based on mutual understanding and respect is formed. - Open minds to travel , work and live in other European Union countries - A change in the methods and educational practices is a change in the future population and society - A democratic and active citizenship based on communication and solving problems by means of dialogue.
