EU and Me is a project involving important values that we wish to develop collectively with young volunteers, the partners sending and hosting organisations in order to develop the European dimension to the scale of an area through different social and societal missions: We have several aims attached to this project because there are several topics that we feel important like intercultural exchange and European citizenship, mobility for all - including participants with fewer opportunities , sustainable development and environmental awareness , and inclusion of disabled people in our cultures. To comply these aims, EU and Me allows 5 French volunteers and 4 volunteers from Greece , Spain , Bulgaria, and Morocco to engage in local, regional, European and international initiatives. We hope through this project to develop the involvement of young people for active citizenship, European citizenship and social issues such as the environment, disability and multicultural exchange with actors from different backgrounds. EU and Me promotes the participation of young people with fewer opportunities , especially those from difficult urban areas, rural areas, dropping out of school or unemployed and those who belong to visible minorities. This project will develop transversal competences, sense of initiative for young volunteers in their personal and professional projects, and the development of territorial dynamics where volunteers, hosting organisation and local authority develop together a youth policy with an European dimension. EU and Me, wants to give the keys to the young Europeans to become active citizens in local, European and international level. This is a project of development, cooperation and exchanges. We want to inform about the mobility and benefit of intercultural exchanges in rural area of the Var in Rayol Canadel , by hosting four volunteers at Domaine de Rayol and in three partners countries Erasmus + in Samara (Russia) , to Casablanca (Morocco) and Nablus (Palestine). Pistes Solidaires Méditerranée has developed in parallel projects related to education for sustainable development. We will coordinate four volunteers at Domaine de Rayol a protected natural reserve where the association takes care of raising public awareness on environmental issues, creating new education materials about organic and eco-friendly gardening. Mobility of young people in insertion position or unemployment should allow learning several skills for better integration on their return, through personal and professional development they have acquired. EU and Me aims the development of the young volunteers, about creativity and capacity to take initiatives, in order to develop their communication skills , social skills , self-confidence , organisational skills and better use of NICT. Volunteers will be able to show demonstrate the skills acquired during the EVS experience to look for a job or training. EU and Me is also a project that wants to bring together the members of the Erasmus + programme and partner countries . We want that volunteers that are in a mission in the different partner countries (Russia , Palestine, Morocco ), create a positive exchange with local people , to be actors of local citizenship projects.
