The overall objectives of the EMEU project – the expansion of knowledge of students and other members of the academic community of the BSU, other educational institutions in Belarus on historical, social, legal and other problems of genesis and existence of ethnic minorities in the EU through the development and implementation into the educational process of the Faculty of History of the BSU new topics and courses on relevant issues; promotion of the BSU as a center of high-level education and research in European issues.The intended outcomes of the EMEU project: introduction of updated programs on such disciplines as "Social and Cultural Anthropology", "Theory of ethnicity and nationalism", "Law in Modern Society" for the first degree students, the development of intensive courses: on historical problems of ethnic minorities in the EU for students the second stage, on methodology of the research on problems of ethnic minorities – for postgraduate level, a series of training workshops, student debates, webinars with European experts, development and publication of educational materials, a collection of sources on the problems of the project; international conference. All the results of the EMEU will be presented in the form of OER.As the project leads to broadening & deepening of competence for all groups, as a result – improving competitiveness & (or) personal development (that is perceived as positive processes & attractive effect), generally EMEU leads to the achievement of the immediate objectives of the Jean Monnet program to enhance the attractiveness of European integration.
