The project has been realized on the base of a cooperation with the organisation Salo Baltic since 2014. Salo Baltic is an educational institution with its branches in other European countries. Our school took the offer and realized the internship for students and school workers in Estonian city of Tallinn. The aim of the project was to widen professional and language skills in the field which is studied at our school, especially in professional terminology of restaurant service, gastronomy and everyday conversation topics. The target group were secondary school pupils of Hotel Industry. The monthly internship ran in two terms, in January 2015 went 8 students and in October 2015 the second group of 8 students. They had the opportunity to get to know hotel service, they tried to work on the position of waiter and bartender, got to know Estonian cuisine, type of restaurant service, were initiated into competence of the Food and Beverage Manager. The students also attended the guided city tour in English language, museum of Estonian history enriched with Finland characteristic features and other culture activities organized by the receiving organisation. All these activities helped to reach the aims of the project: to get to know new culture, to gain competences at hotel industry and communication in English and partly in Estonian language. After the realization of the project we noticed that students at our school started to be more motivated to go abroad for internships and to attend special English lessons preparing for International Language Exams. The students presented their internship to their classmates and also to other pupils of other elementary schools in Mlada Boleslav. During our bartender courses they prepared Czech-Estonian cocktail which was presented in various other school events. The ability to accept foreign cultures and living together with other nations were also the aim of the project. Our school keeps in touch with the institution Salo Baltic and wants to send more pupils and school staff for internships in the future. Our school is going to join a big meeting in Hamburg with all Salo partner schools in September 2016, where will be disscussed future cooperation within the Framework of Erasmus.
