The project shall encourage the strengthening of joint cultural and historical roots that reach across state borders. They lead from the Vashegyi area in the south of the County of Vas in the southern areas of the Kormend micro-region, through the Sriszentpoter micro-region towards the Pomurje region on the Slovenian side of the border. They are connected by the historical term"Paths of soldiers". The Cultural Center is located in the Dominican monastery in Vasvar. Achievements: Along with the tourist-information desk, a room called room for scientists was established in the Dominican monastery in Vashegyi. In the first stage of the project, the attic was reconstructed, where a multi-functional exhibition space and storage space were set up. Aside from the construction works, marketing materials were prepared and published along with a website for the purpose of promoting the tourist service center. Bilingual publications were delivered to both partner countries, and an increasing number of tourists visits the sights that are offered to the public within the Paths of Soldiers program.
