PROJECT
FINISHED
With the increasing technology and the fast&difficult life of big cities, young people are becoming more and more anti-social, individual and lonely. For that reason as a group we decided to do this project in a small town called Malkara, which is surrounded by many villages. Here we will be more in touch with mother nature, the land, and people with culture.
Through this project, we would like to achieve: interactive socializing, finding out about the village culture, learning farming, growing trees and picking fruits off the trees, working with animals, going to village weddings&festivals, learning traditional songs and traditional dances, learning village’s handicraft arts and making them, cooking all together, cultural exchanging with each other, etc.
The objectives of the project is to live and get to know the villages&nature without any technological device (internet, tv, laptop, game consoles, mp3, etc).
Place: Malkara, Tekirdag/Turkey (The reason why we chose Malkara is because; it's Turkey's one of the most important farm and animal husbandry region, close to cosmopolitan city Istanbul where are group based in, and one of the most important union's appereance over there which is called "Köylere Hizmet Götürme Birliği" (Union of Service Transmission to Villages).
Partner Countries: Turkey, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic
Number of participants: 20
