Europe is recently facing maybe the most urgent and immediate challenge since the Second World War: the refugee crisis. At a time when Europe is receiving an extraordinary number of refugees, supporting EU Member States in tackling this situation is a key priority of the EU. In Nov 2015, the Education, Youth, Culture and Sports Council of Ministers reaffirmed that intercultural dialogue through culture and the arts plays an important role to integrate refugees. Theatre, drama and language learning can bridge gaps and improve mutual understanding between the population of the host country and the refugees.E+SN intends to merge one of Europe's greatest successes regarding intercultural dialogue and cohesion, the Erasmus Progr, with one of Europe's greatest challenges, the refugee crisis. E+SN is a European cultural project based on theatre and education that is addressed to 3 different target groups: Erasmus students, local students and local refuges. It aims to make the most of these targets' creativity and human potential promoting their integration and participation in the cultural and social life of their host city.E+SN a project evolved around the creation of a Europ network born with the objective of turning itself into a research and dialogue tool related to the creative, educational and integrative possibilities offered by the relationship between the students' mobility phenomenon and the refugees phenomenon. E+SN main goal is establishing a meeting point for persons displaced for different reasons who will be working together with a common aim: the creation of a theatre play. This process will lead to the acquisition of linguistic, communicative, artistic and expressive competencies to improve some aspects of the participants’ integration and employability.E+SN super-objective: integration of several citizenships from different strata society (refugees, migrants, Erasmus students…), through language learning, using theatre & drama as vehicle.Partnership is composed by 4 different partners from 3 countries (Spain, Italy & Germany): Fundacfió General de la Universitat de València (applicant), Marburg University, Padova University and ESSENT-CREATIVA (CRIT company).Mainly addressed to these three different groups; Scene Erasmus+ selected students, local students & refugees and immigrants connected to NGO’ collaborating in the project. There will be 4 diff TRAINING AND TEACHING ACTIV. carried out in Valencia, Padova and Valencia chronologically where the basis of the teaching methodology will be developed and trained. Moreover, and during the project’s implementation, a virtual Help desk will be developed by CRIT in order to give advice and counselling to the rest of the teachers and educational staff partners. E+S season is the chosen name for the workshops of theatre and languages for in each country. These workshops will begin with some selection tests grounded according to E+SN criteria. The second selection criteria will be the language level of each participant related to the language levels (B1/B2). Each partner will finish the workshop presenting a theatrical show, and will do it following the production models established by the project. - Dissemination activities such as the carry out of E+SN open days to spread the project and involve students’ community. The Open Days will also have parallel activities like conferences, workshops, performances exhibitions and informative desks with communication materials for the assistants. - E+SN week in Marburg: A week full of activities including a conference, round tables, and workshops staff teachers (to complete their training and contribute to create and develop a team spirit) and information desk points to inform potential participants about next seasonal workshops and activities.- E+SN Valencia Festival: To be held at FGUV premises.,attended by all the participant organisations; not only their companies but also their teachers, staff and directors. It will take part in 3 different theatres. This meeting in Valencia will be the platform where all the public results of the project will be presented and analysed. Results of the activities will be announced and we'll set the future publications in order to extend and disseminate our experience. Throughout the implementation of these activities, we expect to have a great impact on the the universities life. Furthermore, and granted the network development, we hope to continue increasing the partnership and spreading these methodologies among Europe, ensuring E+SN sustainability. E+SN team, will carry out different evaluation strategies in order to analyse the impact of E+SN scheduled activities related to the 3 participants’ groups competencies: Aiming at obtaining complementary information while analysing different project results. Evaluation system also includes the continuous assessment of the general E+SN running, aiming at improving its management and administration.
