Entwicklung internationaler Handlungskompetenz durch Auslandsaufenthalte
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

With this application we would like to continue the successful projects of our school and apply for the necessary subsidies for the school year 2014/2015. 1 Our AGU – project for 17 trainees in the dual system will be continued. During their internship apprentices in the business and technical field of vocational training are supposed to learn about aspects of safety and health at work and of environmental activities in the companies. Many of the trainees obtain an additional qualification (Europakaufmann). Target countries are in particular UK, FR, HU and countries where the local companies of the apprentices have subsidiaries. 2 We have a project “early encouragement“ in the socio-pedagogical field. For the mobility in Nov / Dec 2014, we require a grant for a 6-week socio-pedagogical training period to NL for two more students. The focus of this mobility is to acquire new knowledge about concepts in the field of early childhood development and further education concerning the work with handicapped children. 3 Two years ago we also started to send students of the Berufsfachschule to the UK and would like to continue this because it was very successful. For the students who take the chance to join a mobility this project has been an impressive success for the participants concerning the personal development and the improvement of their language skills. As a conclusion of the present mobility we have decided to send accompanying teachers for the whole period because up to 90 per cent of the participants are underage. Some of the 20 students taking part in this project are also students from other vocational schools which are members of our network. 4 The teacher mobility is part of the activities of our school as we are the mobility-centre for the school district of Lüneburg. On the whole there are a lot of vocational schools which are part of our network and do not have enough or have no opportunities to send their students abroad. As a mobility centre we offer teachers to gain experience and knowledge concerning the objectives, approaches and methods of the vocational training in UK and to work on concrete mobility projects for their trainees. Besides we offer the members of our network to go to their respective EU partners for working and learning stays. The main target is to improve the concept of internationalisation for their school. Target countries will be UK, ES, NL and AT.
