Developing structures to support students with insufficient language skills, because of migration or lacking reading and writing competences in their mother tongue Due to the increasing number of students with a refugee background and thus lacking knowledge of the German language and the dramatically rising amount of German students with lacking knowledge of reading and writing skills in their mother tongue, our school faces the task to create a special concept to deal with this situation and to support those students in developing their skills. This two year project is supposed to support the concept work of the departments "German language" and "Inclusive Education" and to add new ideas and impulses to this work. By job-shadowing and attending European training courses, the teachers taking part in this project should broaden their horizon and spread the concept among the staff. We intend to send four teachers to our partner school in Sweden, which already has a well developed concept of teaching students mith migration background, four teachers will visit our partner school in Liechtenstein. The common work with the Comenius-project has shown that these three schools deal with the same problems in a very different way and the frame conditions differ profoundly. Four teachers will attend training courses dealing with the corresponding topic and eTwinning. The aim of the project is to gain insight into the problem together with the above mentioned partner schools and to develop conferrable methods that will result in individual concepts.
