Vågen Upper Secondary School is a relatively new school (Staff 150 , Students 900).and has 4 different study programmes: 1) Music, dance and drama, Media and communications, Fine Art, Design and Craft. Within each of the three first mentioned programmes there are also academic subjects, whereas the last is a vocational program. These are all creative programmes, all suitable for interdiciplinarity and entrepreneurship. As it is now the subjects are quite traditionally performed, with too high barriers between the subjects and programmes. We know that working in creative jobs means cooperation on all levels. We have to prepare the students for the future. We also need to orient ourselves outwards to make our students broaden their view in terms of where to study, where to work in their future. Lots of our students study in UK after leaving our school. We want to strengthen our contacts with some of these educational institutions. And we need to look into new and alternativ teaching methods, student surveys has proven that. We want do give teachers oppurtunity to participate in: Traning course within Entrepreneurship ( 3 persons), Slovenia Training course within Innovative teaching methods (2 persons), Greece Job shadowing in three different educational institutions in England offering education in Arts & Media (4persons), Dance (2 persons) Music & Theatre (2 persons). By doing so we think the outcome will be focus on interdisipliarity and creative teaching methods. Altogether 13 persons. We have good routines on sharing our new comptences by arranging workshops in our school. We also have regional network meetings within all subjects whose purpose it to share new knowledge. To have participated in the above mentioned activities will be a great incitement to this work. It may also be neccesary to rearrange the teaching staff so that the new comptences ar spread to all the departments of our school.
