This project aims to promote language and all-subject teaching within the specific framework of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) at local education authority level in the Académie of Grenoble.Both primary and secondary education levels are concerned through various existing CLIL schemes (i.e. EMILE*, ETLV** or SELO*** in the French system of education). The project gathers 20 secondary schools, 19 primary schools, 27 teacher trainers and primary school inspectors, 9 secondary school inspectors and 9 secondary school teacher trainers.This project aims at giving opportunities of attending linguistic training periods and job-shadowing periods in CLIL classes over Europe.The international cooperation department of the Education Authority (DAREIC) will organize and coordinate mobilities. The trainees’ general or more specific needs will all be addressed by the team organizers.The aim of this application for training via international mobility is twofold: firstly to help strengthen teachers’ language skills for those who already teach their subject in a foreign language. Secondly and more importantly to develop a common approach towards the subject of teaching in a foreign language. This covers multiple areas: teaching and training techniques, teaching and training materials, assessment tools.The project will assist with the monitoring and assessment of existing projects in our local Education Authority, as well as the ongoing monitoring of the project itself.
