Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Oct 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The majority of individuals with disabilities in our country, can not receive adequate training, business life and, therefore, they are excluded from social life. Our main objective as an institution, to provide all students with disabilities in vocational training that we give education, to participate in the business life as a result of the process .The biggest reason of the disabled person's break-off from the life are their remaining as consumer because of occupational competence is not provided to them, their becoming introverted because of lack of self confidence or their locking themselves in narrow environments. An effective vocational training provides employment to the disabled person and makes them think as "I am an individual beneficial to society!" . Thus, individuals with disabilities can participate in social life as their normal peers. The biggest problem we encounter during the training process related to the people with disabilities, is our students' having very various physical and mental features. To overcome this problem, the process of vocational training should be planned specifically for each student. As majority of students with disabilities in institutions who are provided with vocational training have two or more disabilities, vocational training process should be carried out per person. Our project aims to provide our instructors with techniques and methods which are applied in Europe about how does the individualization of the above stated vocational training can be maintained as can be learned normally with restricted time and instructor resource and without interrupting the training processes of the individuals with disabilities. Vocational high school students in regular shows similar characteristics. The obligation of special care for a student out of the group and special training program implementation come out very rare. In the process of vocational education related to students with disabilities, the students who have very different mental and physical problems are trained in the same workshop. For example, in every part of our school providing vocational training and in almost every class, there are students who have different problems in addition to normal disability status, such as vision, hearing, speech, learning problems. Our personal experience shows that without exception, all students, no matter what obstacles levels, can learn a occupation when special care is given. However, in the school environment with limited time and educational resources for professional training, almost every student is not able to individualize. In a normal professional training institution, two different programs at the same time are applied in one classroom very rarely. However in the disability vocational training 3-4 different vocational training programs are required to be implemented at the same time. In order to handle this difficult process, skills and competencies of teachers are very important. In the European countries which succeed to reintegrate disabled people to life and to provide them with an occupation, these problems have been encountered and resolved. Our project will be the first step which will ensure the information transfer from these countries about individualization of especially training of people with disabilities especially in these days that individualized training is coming up lately in our country. By sharing the obtained information, competences and methods in other schools, the training quality of people with disabilities will be increased. This way, under the scope of European Union 2010-2020 Disability Strategy, in the part of our vocation training which involve people with disabilities, significant imporvements will be done. Because our project is focused on the main of the education that is INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION. Our experiences about 40 years show that other improvements will not be efficient without resolving this problem. Though to give training in one classroom with several instructors seems like a solution, it is not economic. The best solution as in Europe, is instructors who are teaching to people with disabilities to configure the class according to the students levels and to provide competences able to train multiple vocational trainings efficiently in the same educational environment. The matter of how should the vocational training of people with disabilities be that come up in recent days in our country, has been examined in the European countries for long years and efficient solutions have been found. At the end of the project, our instructors will have the opportunity to learn and apply the competent applications in the matters such as, how will the multiple training programs be appliedin the workshop applications, efficient use of time, how should vocational special training programs prepared, how should the assesment and evaluation be done; and to spead them throughout our country.
