PROJECT
FINISHED
The project aims in a context of IES Inventor Cosme García wide experience in these programs. For the development of its Strategic Plan, which includes the need to improve relations with other organizations and mobility of students and teachers, has been implementing for years a series of actions and activities. Since 2007 we have the Erasmus Charter. Teachers responsible for carrying out this project are Proffesional Training teachers with experience in student mobility, as in all training courses it is compulsory to carry out a period of internship. They have a technical background in the fields the School offers and language level certification, having participated in language immersion programs. The faculty also has experience in the management model EFQM as they take part different processes and areas for improvement of the center. Expected participants are 9 students (2nd level of medium degree of the various studies taught at the center) and 3 teachers from different specialities. The projects are based, first, on the carrying out of internship in companies of Portugal and Germany and, secondly, to extend the training of teachers attending a Integral Professional Training Centre in Germany. In the various communications we formalize the agreement for these practices specifying periods, best practices for both the student and for the company and the objectives to be achieved in the realization of such internship. The methodology is based on the sellection of partners for the project considering its strategic vision and its educational mission and specific values, so they match the professional profiles of our center. Another important methodological aspect will be given prominence to communication between all actors, dissemination of the project and develop a large interactive participation of stakeholders and partners in a process of continuous evaluation and improvement. Our partners are responsible for selecting the companies we need depending on the profile of the selected students. Following the selection of the companies, several visits to get to know the environment , the companies selected, to look for accommodation for the students and to complete the protocol of joint action will be made.Once the students have performed their internship, they will be tutored by teachers assigned following the schedule included in the protocol. The assessment will include a weekly communication with the corresponding internship tutor assigned in Spain. In addition to the weekly evaluation, there will be good communication between centres to avoid any problems that might arise. At the end of the internship period, satisfaction surveys will be conducted among participants, indicators will be developed for objective assessment in short, medium and long term and a final report of results will be developed. The main expected results are: -Improvement of educational attainment of participants (assessing both technical and cultural skills).-Improvement in the level of employment (analysis of the influence of the program on hiring).-Language Certification.-Improvement and innovation regarding teaching techniques.-Acquisition of skills and training for teachers through educational experiences analyzed.-Intercultural enrichment for students and teachers. At a local and regional level we expect that the project, at its completion, will have a major impact as a sample of an initiative that promotes the School as an example of quality education and open to Europe, as well as of the technical studies related to the professional families of the project, as a good option to finding quality employment without sacrificing transnational mobility. At a national level, these projects may involve the development of a culture, among students of Vocational Training, of the values of the experience of mobility in Europe.Internationally, these projects will strengthen professional and cultural supportive values shared by generations of technicians who star in these projects in the coming years. In the long term, the expected benefits are the consolidation of a high level of employment, the acquisition of labour and training habits through mobility in Europe, lifelong innovative teaching techniques and the exchange of experiences between teachers, the strengthening of bonds of permanent collaboration between businesses and schools in different European countries and the setting up of a positive collective consciousness of respect and learning from other labour, education and social cultures from other European countries.
