En route pour l'Europe
En route pour l'Europe
Start date: Jul 1, 2014,
End date: Jun 30, 2015
PROJECT
FINISHED
Our school ambitions seem to be quite legitimate. Offering European opportunities to students in vocational schools must be a priority. Thus the staff must first be conscious of it, as these people will then convey it to their students.
Four people have been chosen to take part to this mobility project, they have been chosen regarding their capacities and complementarities:
• A logistics teacher : who will soon have his DNL certification (DNL means teaching your subject, which is not a linguistic one, in a foreign language), and is a specialist in logistics, the subject we have in common with our German partner
• A Maths and Science teacher : he already has his DNL certification, and intents to catch up
• A French an History – Geography teacher : he is eager to prepare his DNL certification quite soon
These three people will be leading elements for the future opening of a European section. We will be able to have more exchanges with foreign countries, particularly with the United Kingdom)
• A CPE (non teaching staff member in charge of the general discipline) who perfectly knows how the French educative system works and will make the exchanges easier. What's more, as the European referent of our vocational school, the different files will be more easily dealt with.
This project will be checked by the managing staff of the school very regularly all year long (written and oral reports at each step of the project). This will be linked with a eTwinning project with our German partner for students to be able to speak together and send documents, files, reports, videos ….
Eventually, a true European dynamics will be the result of these mobility projects. We will really base our ‘Lycée des Métiers’ label on it (the ‘Lycée des Métiers’ label is a French certification, which certifies that we have a specific professional knowledge and know how, for us, in Logistics and Transport). This will also allow us to send students abroad, to welcome foreign students, to exchange letters, files, videos… between foreign and French students, with our German partner today, and tomorrow with an English-speaking partner, and to open a European section in our school.
