The applicant, mhtconsult, is an independent developmental organisation focused on integration, inclusion and equal opportunities in both social and workinglife for vulnerable groups of children, youngsters and adults. Based on the values of diversity and active citizenship, we are building a bridge between analytical knowledge, conceptual and methodic development, interdisciplinary collaboration and practical implementation of social change processes in close collaboration with public authorities, educators, adult training organisations and other social stakeholders on a local, national and transnational level. Thus, we provide services as:
- Analyses and evaluations
- Methodological development and documentation in tool kits
- Education, learning processes and process facilitation mathing needs and resources among vulnerable groups
- Project development, project implementation, project management and followup methods
The current basis for our mobility application is a comprehensive initiative where a new project team will be working local authorities and welfare stakeholders to develop and launch a sustainable educational programme for rehabilitating youngster and adults with special needs according to mental health problems, psychiatric diagonses and intellectual disability - in order for them to achieve an equitable and stable life as equal citizens. The effort will rest on a cross-disciplinary project teams, representing all together competences and experiences within the fields for education and didactics, coaching, social-psychology, guidance and mentorship, socialo-economic production, healthcare, intercultural communication and methodological documentation.
On this background, we aim at strengthening the shared methodological competences i the projecteam by implementing short term studies in two European Organisations, having widespread experiences in pedagogical and methodic development and practice. Our goal is to provide a common understanding and training through an intensive study- and training programme, including:
1) An eight days study - and training camp in the Sicilian organisation Cesie, Palermo, with the program points:
- Teaching and activity observations in Cesie's local teaching and counseling projects.
- Visits to other relevant educational institutions and public authorities from Cesie's local networks.
- Learning sessions for learning and practical testing of Cesie's methods and toolkits instructed by Cesie's director and staff.
- Presentation of our own intercultural, narrative and guidance methods and toolkits as part of the professional exchange.
2) An eight days study- and training camp in the French organisation elaninterculturel, Paris, with the program points:
- Teaching and activity observations in elaninterculturel's various training activities.
- Visits to other relevant educational institutions and public authorities from elaninterculturel's local networks.
- Learning sessions for learning and practical testing of elaninterculturel's general methos and toolkits instructed by elaninterculturel´s director and staff.
- Specially designed four-days training course for the projectteam in the method Critical Incidents, conducted by elaninterculturel´s staff and including a visit to Margalit Cohen-Emerique, the founder of this special method.
- Presentation of our own intercultural, narrative and guidance methods and toolkits as part of the professional exchange.
As for the impact of the study- and training camps, our expectations are:
- To renew and expand the educational-methodological knowledge and skills in the projectteam - thus qualifying and innovating our local activities for vulnerable youngsters and adults.
- To disseminate the new educational-methodical experiences both locally and nationally through the development and dissemination of a methodological catalogue - as well as through workshops with public professionals and other welfare acteurs working for equality of vulnerable youngsters and adults.
- To expand and consolidate our transnational collaboration and strategic partnerships with European organisation as part of our strategic developmental plan of strengthening our European collaboration and exchanges of best practice to improve the equal opportunities for our core target groups.
We will evaluate the efficacy and impact of the study- and training camps through an internal process and impact evaluation, based on a socalled change theoretical framework. Doing so, we´ll use our own longstanding expertice within the field of evaluating education, interdisciplinary collaboration and learning processes.
