PROJECT
FINISHED
The project concerns education against gender and LGBTQI discrimination and will involve six different country from EU. The goal of the project is to create young heralds of positive messages in order to fight homophobic and gender prejudices for a fair, respectful, inclusive and integrated society. This aim will be achieved by stimulating the debate at youth level on a topic extremely sensitive in the partner countries and in continue evolution under a social perception. Discussions related to women and LGBTQI rights are seldom engaged without bias preventing a frank and open confrontation based on fundamental freedoms. The project want to analyse the situation, make participants reflect on personal behaviour and different point of view, and points to contrast prejudices and to support universal values, like human dignity and solidarity, on which the European Union is founded.
The exchange will develop into a series of non-formal education activities designed to introduce and then discuss woman and LGBTQI issues, starting from different cultural perceptions and different situation from different country.
In addition, the project aim is to promote active citizenship at local and European level, informing on one hand the participants and citizens invoved in the project about their role in society and on the other hand by recalling the importance of the European Union in terms of policy-making.
