Empower yourself: new entreprenaurial paths for an inclusive society

"EPYS" is a social farming projects which aims to enforce the skills of social workers and young people by providing them with new business tools to promote the concrete placement of persons at riak of social exclusion. Ethical and socially responsible agriculture becomes an instrument of therapy, rehabilitation, labor integration and also of simple welfare for the disadvantaged people or with integration problems (as in cases of physical and mental disabilities, drug addiction, immigration, poverty and socio-economic deprivation ). It has the following aims:- promoting pathways aimed at self employment and employment of youth workers in the field of social farming (as operators of social farming) but, above all, to the restoration and enhancement in the social work of disadvantaged people at risk of social exclusion;- development and promotion of a new model of action that seeks social and working inclusion of disadvantaged people ;- promoting treatment programs through work;- Use of agricultural resources to generate social well-being;- Experimenting with new ways of working inclusion;- making the combination of agriculture-third sector an increasingly important role in our society as an incentive in terms of inclusion, social and labor integration, cultural stimulus;- Encouraging the use of ICT for the promotion of enterprises and the creation of networks of associations, companies and NGOs working in the field, supporting the components of such networks;- proposing an innovative model of social farming that maintains its roots in tradition and which promotes the adoption of healthy lifestyles.Participants in the youth exchange will be 40, 32 in the phase of training, in condition of economic and social disadvantage, selected according to specific criteria between the ages of 23 and 30 years.The activities are divided into 10 points and include: needs analysis and context, definition of the work plan, project development, monitoring and budget control, web site creation, selection of students, coordination of logistics, conducting the Youth Exchange of the Training Course Evaluation and dissemination.The use of active methodologies of informal learning, involving the direct participation of boys and girls, will build genuine paths of shared learning in the group. Through role-playing games, workshops, storytelling of life, we will facilitate the awareness and knowledge of good practices of interaction.Participants will accrue skills and knowledge about the practices of social farming, to their business implications: such new learning will be an opportunity for professional growth for themselves and for young people , excluded from labor market, to whom it will be extended skills acquired during the training.The expected results are to:- to demonstrate and to increase the levels of effectiveness of action towards the raising of skills, quality of life, social inclusion and employment of people with low bargaining;- Creating real opportunities for accompaniment and input into farming social structures which are open to a careful and respectful host of people's needs, of their specific needs;- development of profitable forms of relationship and communication methods between youth workers, representatives of the business world, social workers, children, people with disabilities or addiction problems, with temporary discomfort or any other form of disadvantage;- Identifying best practices and replicable change;- Creating paths joining the company of the disadvantaged;- Create models of sustainable development, environmentally friendly;- promoting youth entrepreneurship in the innovative field of social farming;- Creating an experience of cooperation that are concretized sense of belonging to the European Union and active citizenship.
