Employment mediation - computer applications in a perspective of dialogue for development
Start date: Feb 28, 2003, End date: Aug 30, 2004 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project aims at supporting the integration of the Venetian and Slovenian work systems, favouring mutual knowledge, dialogue and an evaluation of the opportunities offered on both sides. The beneficiary intended to make available to a cross-border network the experience acquired through the e-Labour project, an IT system aimed at favouring a matching of work supply and demand through the telematic network. The market analysis in the cross-border area resulted in an information booklet, the contents of which are closely related to specific issues: the employment system, the territorial structures to enter the work market, the work market of reference, the legislative framework (also in the field of immigration), the contract forms available. All these issues were studied in depth with reference to the employment system of the Venetian area and of the Slovenian area. The peculiarity of the booklet consists in the fact that it was conceived in two mirror-versions to be useful to workers on both sides of the border. In this sense the exchange and dissemination of technical information on the cross-border work market is crucial in the communication and exchange between the two systems, particularly today when land borders between the two areas have disappeared.
