The project aims to strengthen the European dimension in the Secondary Education field. We expect to discover two different regions through a cultural and historical path. We will be trying to work on teaching best practice as well as new technologies and innovative educational materials. Thanks to the relationship with foreign buddies, the students will get a certain concern towards both a new language and their own one, as well as the knowledge of cultural diversity. In order to learn the foreign language innovative teaching techniques as Cooperative Learning, Learning by doing or Peer to peer, will be used. Thanks to the cooperative activity the student will be improving his/her own skills, team tasks, social relationships and the planning ability; the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) will help, too. The Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) will be taken in action thanks to the exchange between the two countries (job shadowing) and the presence of both Spanish and Italian teachers from Sicily. The two minority languages of the both regions (the Catalan, in its variety Valencian, and the Sicilian) will be taken into account, as well. We plan to develop the following activities: production and selection of objects for exposition, brief tour of our heritage (through performance of music concerts or theatre plays), posters and photo exhibitions about the exchange project with competitions, promotion of the activities, creation of a photos book as memory of the project and creation of a DVD with all the stages of the exchange.
