EKOenergy is a network of European NGOs willing to promote the consumption and production of renewable electricity. EKOenergy is also an ecolabel for electricity supplied to consumers (households, corporate consumers, others). EKOenergy is the only electricity label that results from a pan-European consultation process, which works on the whole European market and is recognized by stakeholders in all European countries. Last year, we have made big steps forward (See www.ekoenergy.org > annual report 2013). However, we welcome new ideas and initiatives to further improve our communication. We particularly need tools to communicate in a simple way with our main target group: the electricity consumers. Under this short term project (3 months) we aim at developing 'visuals'. 1 EVS volunteer will make drawings, cartoons, comics,... to communicate about difficult topics such as the electricity market, consumers' power,... This will happen in close cooperation/interaction with a group of interested members and suppliers. We hope that by the end of the project, we will have either 1 big deliverable or several smalls, that will be useful for our work in the months and years to come. The developed materials will also help to involve young people. Besides, the volunteer will get opportunities to participate in other activities of the Finnish Association of Nature Conservation in order to get opportunities to differentiate the experiences and to get to know different (young) people. The volunteers are embedded in the EKOenergy team (which is a part of the Environment Protection Department of the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation).
