Three experienced foreign language teachers feel the necessity to update their methodological knowledge in the field of modern technologies. Therefore they plan to take part in teacher training courses in Great Britain which offer training in this field. Apart from that another teacher who is responsible for working on a concept of media use in or school is involved in the project.Before the teachers leave for their courses, they are supposed to document their current use of technology in order to be able to work out questions which can be answered in the chosen courses. The aim of the teacher training courses is to enable experienced teachers to use modern technology in order to enlarge their range of methods so that classes can be taught in a more up-to-date way. The methods the participants will get to know will be spread among the other foreign language teachers of the school. The espected long-term effect is a more confident use of modern technology and therefore a wider variety of methods in teaching foreign languages.
