The project Education for „Career Counsellors around Europe “ focuses on up to date topic of career counselling and quality of career counsellors. It follows the project “Current European Career Counselling” where most of the partners of ECCE project cooperated on the topic of their long-time interest. They discovered the insufficient status of education for career counsellors in their countries. This led them to ECCC which aims to contribute to the development of quality career counselling services in Europe. The specific aims are: - to complete missing quality vocational training for counsellors in CZ, DE, PL and ES,- to adapt an existing high quality training programme for counsellors according to the needs of participating countries and regarding the expert experience of the partners,- to prepare trainers for this new adapted programme who will be able implement the adapted training modules in their countries and thus support increase of the number of qualified counsellors,- to test the programme,- to prepare the final version of the training programme and the connected materials,- to inform professionals about new training.Needs for education are proved by many analyses. The quality service of career counselling leads to fulfilment of European strategies for optimising the capabilities and the potential of all citizens. The project is realized by qualified consortium. The applicant coordinator, Aspekt, CZ, has got experience with project management and career counselling is its main issue. GAP, GE is experienced in training, counselling, project management and is top EU expert on gender topic. Their region is interested in improvement of training for their counsellors. Spanish partner, Espora and Polish one, Fundacja Rozwoju Ekonomii Społecznej have provided counselling and run EU projects too. Akershus University College has already developed and successfully run the complex study programme for career counsellors in Norway, has cooperated on other EU project and is willing to solve the troubles with insufficient education by the transfer of their programme to partners´organizations and their countries. There are two more partners to support it: Dr. M. Benesch Unternehmensberatung, AUT, lecturer with experience from training of trainer in international groups, helps to gain the training skills needed for implementing and OR Counselling, NO, brings the expert knowledge of working with drop outs and his view will be considered when adapting the programme. The outcomes will be: new training course for career counsellors in CZ, DE, ES and PL with study materials (e.g. in CZ there is no overall study material for career counsellors, only books in English are available). Both of them will reflect the feedback from counsellors. The project will secure highly qualified lectures for the training and training material to support them. There will be a website where the documents will be at disposal.
