Educate Me(dia) is a 7 days long training course for 32 youth workers from 8 program countries on implementation of new tools and activities that enhance media literacy and promote diversity, inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogue. Through participation in this TC youth workers will be educated to:- use media technologies effectively to access, store, retrieve and share content to meet their individual and community needs and interests;- understand how and why media content is produced;- analyze critically the techniques, languages and conventions used by the media, and the messages they convey;- use media creatively to express and communicate ideas, information and opinions;- identify, and avoid or challenge, media content and services that may be unsolicited, offensive or harmful;- make effective use of media in the exercise of their democratic rights and civic responsibilities.The impact of the project are youth workers in 32 communities equipped with knowledge on media literacy and dissemination is seen through follow up of the project - workshops given in the communities by youth workers who successfully finished the training course.
