ECO “Ecology – Culture – Opportunities” is a youth exchange about ecology and health that will gather for 6 working days 40 young people from 8 countries - Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Slovakia, Croatia.The main aim of the exchange is to familiarize the young people with the ecological problems and the ways to tackle them, as an important part of creating European ecological consciousness; to encourage the protections of the environment and the healthy way of living through the realization of various eco initiatives, physical and entertaining activities. Objectives:- To create eco consciousness and culture of behavior in the young people;- To discuss themes connected with the ecological problems and their impact on one’s lifestyle, self-awareness and involvement in eco-initiatives in the public life;- To debate on issues related to the possibilities for overcoming the ecological and climate changes – global warming, ozone layer depletion, renewable sources of energy, ecological catastrophes and their relations to youth projects and activities;- To provide the young people with knowledge and skills that are mandatory for facing the ecological issues and leading expedient and healthy lives;- To motivate the participants and to let them share knowledge, information and experience, and to inspire them to act as multiplicators in terms of fighting ecological problems after the exchange’s end.The main themes are Environment and ecology, Eco policies, youth NGOs and ecology, Main eco issues, People and ecology, Climate changes, Waste management – separate collection of waste and recycling, Forestation, Eco-construction, Healthy lifestyle and physical culture.The methodology of the exchange is based on the experience and the real stories of the participants. The exchange will give the participants the chance to experiment and discuss the offered themes.
