This project responds to an exchange of young Franco-Portuguese , carried out during the summer of 2013 Fafe in Portugal. The results of this visit is very positive , young people immediately showed great motivation to continue the project.
The project this year takes the form of an exchange Franco -Portuguese , gathering 31 young people from 15 to 21 years: 15 Portuguese and 16 French , accompanied by four facilitators. Leisure activities are organized during the exchange : Hiking Canoe Kayak, sand yachting , boat ride and tour Croix Island , swimming ... will allow the group to know .
During this exchange , youth work on " CLICHES ". In various art workshops , youth will be invited to reflect on the concept of culture, stereotypes and prejudices. They will be able to project as an individual with their own history, their habits and family traditions through photos and writing workshops to make their portraits. They will also have to project themselves as inhabitants of a town, a region and a country. Geographical environment in which they live ? The impact of the social environment on their lifestyle? There he has different opportunities, depending on the country where you come from? Young Portuguese and French compare their lifestyles and viewpoints. Through the video tool , youth transmit their vision of Europe and will be projected as European citizens.
Youth constitute a " Snapshots " exhibition will present their work on this topic. It will be traveling to the territories of Tempo, La Loco and AJD to educate people in this theme.
Young people also realize cultural and intercultural activities : visits Nantes, Vannes, meeting with an oyster farmer , Interceltique Festival of Lorient, scroll fashion traditional holding cooking workshops ... A great intercultural free feast of Saint Gildas des bois and inclusive offer : intergenerational picnic, educational concert world music, storytelling show in Europe ... this day is an opportunity to educate families and residents in the project and to develop intercultural in the territories .
This exchange of young Franco -Portuguese is a great way to promote youth engagement in collective actions. This rich experience of sharing and meeting allows them to gain confidence, autonomy and cultural and social openness promoting respect for each other and differences.
