ECDL National Operator and Test Centers in Azerbaijan

The wider objective of the project is to set up ECDL National Operator and Testing Centres in partner universities and to build computer skills capacity needed for the integration of key competencies of lifelong learning into the development strategies of higher educational institutions in Azerbaijan. The rationale of this project is based on "2009-2012 State Program on the reform of higher education" focusing on development of ICT based education system in Azerbaijan Republic.To achieve this objective, this project will establish ECDL testing centers, train the trainers, improve computer literacy level, localize international certification and will promote recognition of certification in wider audience. The specific objectives are:1. To install National Operator, Testing and Training Centres in partner universities2. Capacity building for national operator and testing centres in partner universities3. To offer trainings on computing skills in AZ partner universities through modern software and IT technologies4. To localize a set of tutorials, supplementary materials, testing manuals and web page of ECDL5. To implement the ECDL certification in the country6. To develop a cross-country knowledge-exchange network among students and teachersThe principal outputs / outcomes are:1. Design of National Operator and Testing Centres2. Capacity built for the Operator and Centers3. Trainings of target groups in Azerbaijan4. Dissemination of the project outcomes5. ECDL recognition and sustainability6. Quality plan7. Management of the project
