East - West Bridges Through Volunteering
Start date: Jan 2, 2016, End date: Mar 1, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The main aim of our project is to create a cultural bridge between East and West through youth. We believe that after the fall of Soviet Union, it is important to rediscover individual peculiarities of each ex-satellite country while promoting the cooperation and friendship among them. We believe the new generation must be the main target of this teaching and integration process so to grow up in a more international and cooperative context and with a friendly and open attitude towards its neighbours. Those fundamental principles of our organization are strictly related to Kay Action 1 objectives in the field of active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity and learning mobility of young people based on formal, informal and non-formal learning. We will host 2 volunteers from Italy and Estonia. The activities will take place in Krakow among children, youngsters, young adults and adults. Our office is located in the centre of Krakow, next to Vistula river, in the interesting district of Podgórze. The building in which our office is situated hosts other 4 NGOs with whom we often collaborate in the development of various activities and projects.Volunteers in our organisation will be working not only in the office: they will be given the opportunity to implement local activities in Krakow and other small towns and villages in Malopolska as well as to run personal projects and workshops both in our venue and in our two partner high schools from Wieliczka and Żegocina.
