PROJECT
FINISHED
Following the growing devoting of young people to informatic ways, like internet and social networks, instead of presential socialization, and presential support systems for youth, a Portuguese organization, with one organization from UK, Italy, Bulgaria, Estonia and Germany saw in Erasmus+ an opportunity to gather themselfs and reflect on the same question: Are young people the ones who turn away from personal contact with our support systems or shall we need to innovate in these support systems?
Thus, during a contact seminar and a training course held in Fornos de Algodres, Portugal, between 14-17 September 2015 and 25 November to 3 December 2015, 2 and 4 participants (per country), respectively, reflected and tested methodologies to support online learning and young people through e-learning platforms.
In the contact event, E-Youth, E-Learning project it featured 13 participating youth workers - two per country, excepting the host country which had one extra element to facilitate activities -, and in the training course, the project gathered young participants.
Over the two events we clearly used non-formal education methodologies, such as workshops, group work, pair work, brainstormings in activities that promoted knowledge about E-Learning platforms, their use and animation as well as potentiated brainstorming about how these tools may be useful for increasing the employability of young people, among others.
In summary, this project, which had two international activities, and then six pilot online courses (based on a figure of e-tutor) saw that with these learnings we reached young people who have left the presential learning and support services in sake of online training and support, creating a significant impact in strengthening the work of the organizations involved and its importance to the socio-cultural development of these young people.
