The E-RACE project will develop a European standard relating to the new competencies required for business support personnel and for managers/owners within SMEs.The development of modern markets for products and services requires that enterprises make use of new skills and tools in carrying out their activities, thus for SMEs this can be more difficult than for larger or global companies.The project will develop both a training concept for SMEs in addition to an ICT tool (in EN, DA, PL, ES & EL) which will enable real-time diagnosis of the strengths and weaknesses of both micro and small & medium enterprises. The result is expected to provide a uniform and precise model to better identify and implement targeted processes for improvement.Further developments will include specialist training packages & European competencies standards for personnel working in Business Support organisations and a European Business Link Network open to business support organisations, staff, managers and decision-makers using the E-Race concept. Dissemination will comprise a multilingual project website, a series of leaflets and newsletters (in all partners languages) and national/transnational conferences to promote the end project results.
