The educational and vocational counselling is an effective labour market instrument. A new approach to this counselling as an employment strategy is still in infancy in all EU countries, in particular in transition countries like Latvia and Bulgaria. The project’s products make an essential contribution to the development of a practice-oriented, interactive online tool that helps educational and vocational counsellors to identify high-quality counselling. The project team developed a module of methodical materials for expanding and increasing education and vocational competences of Bachelor and Master degree students or of any person interested in self-assessment and managing their career themselves. Therefore it will provide the labour market with suitable personnel thus contributing to raising the employment rate – a matter of considerable significance nowadays. Continuous economic crisis, rapid structural changes in the economy sectors, mobility, globalisation etc., make the proportion of the employed and the unemployed on the labour market increasingly incompatible.
