BRG 7, Vienna is a grammar school, which is currently undergoing a trial period for comprehensive schooling for the 10 - 14year old student population. This school focusses in tamteaching, modern teaching methods, openness and flexibilty for new impulses. Erasmus+ will enable teachers of modern languages to attend training courses and to immerse themselves into the language and culture of their respective language. All competences will be trained as well as methods that will directly impact on daily teaching routines. Jobshwadowing on the other hand will mak reflexion of other European schoolsystem possible and provide an opportunity to present Austria abroad. Both programmes enable participants to enagage in intensive contacts with European colleagues leading to joint activities. Two members of staff have applied for teacher training/language course in Cefalù and Nice - both are very interested in improving their language skills. One member of staff is planning a job shadowing in Estonia - this programme centers on quality management and Gifted Education. Both language course fulfill European schools Standards . Exchange with colleagues is at the centre of the job shadowing programme. There will be concrete possibilities to experience teaching and to participate in teaching. Students will be involved in the early stages of the project. All courses are geared towards intensive contacts with partner school, cooperations and e-twinning projects are a target. Language training will have direct impact. Students will benefit on various levels: long-term contacts, but also short term improvement in language skills and intensified familiarity with European values
