The main goal of the project was to apply modern and innovative ICT equipment to protection and rescue operations along the Croatian-Hungarian state border, enabling the more efficient protection of infrastructure and nature in the cross-border region. A complex spatial-information alert test system was installed under the project. The system helps the work of emergency services and significantly reduces their response time. Achievements: A study was prepared on ICT systems used in disaster protection on water. With the help of coordinates that were collected and identified, and based on the implementation project and the operational concept, a cross-border spatial informational system was built which resulted in the significant improvement of joint disaster protection in the cross-border region along the Drava. The efficiency of the system was tested during the international protection and rescue exercise. The exercise confirmed the system´s efficiency. Information CDs and brochures were prepared as part of the project, and the issue of storing and searching for data was resolved through the procurement of corresponding equipment.
