The main aim of the project was to raise English and German languages level by our teachers who were planned to teach their school subjects ( Maths , Biology , Art , therapeutic classes and English ) It was essential that teachers had opportunity to prepare to interdisciplinary teaching. Another objective of the project was improving the quality of communication with our foreign patients , their families and classes in our hospital. Better knowledge of foreign languages would help in further establishing international contacts which will positively impact our school image. Project participants were teachers and therapists of Zespół Szkół Specjalnych nr 87 in Warsaw : three teachers educators and one teacher of therapeutic classes . Project participants have received intensive language courses in The United Kingdom and Germany . In the context of courses teachers participated in additional activities allowing to learn about the culture and realities of the countries in which they stayed. Contacts with other course students and the host families helped to improve the level of language communication and also established contacts with them . After the courses are introduced new teaching methods that allow us to run classes and extracurricular activities in a way more attractive for our pupils . It resulted in better fluency and openess in the use of foreign languages .
