The participants of this project are volunteers from Germany and Ukraine, who will support Program Departament work in Edith Stein Society and also will create own actions for local youth during one year.
SUBJECT OF ACTIVITIES
Edith Stein House-Cultural Dialog Centre it is an institution which organize international projects for youth from all Europe and for local young people from Wrocław. Edith Stein Society (ESS) takes up education, historical, culture projects, promotion of tolerance, respect for the other cultures and inter-religious dialog.
PURPOSE
Volunteers’ presence and their engagement in our activities it is a kind of intensive dialog between volunteer and ESS workers, our partners and visitors and participants of our projects from whole Europe.
PLANNED ACTIVITIES
Volunteers will cooperate with ESS workers during different culture and historical events (also international youth exchanges), will help to prepare rooms in the House for this events and will have own classes for local youth (informal education method). Volunteer from Germany and Ukraine will be also cooperate together, they will be living here during the same time at the House - they will have opportunity for common work, activities, good practice exchange, mutual inspirations. They can develop their interests. The important element will be language lessons for local children where they can play and learn together for breaking culture barriers.
RESULTS
Thanks to participation of this program, the volunteers will have occasion for common live with residents of Edith Stein House, in international community. Common work will make possibility to learn responsibility and create own projects, ideas. Because of that, local people can meet this person and know more about other culture, country, origin. Our Society will get new contacts
to international partners. What is more, local youth and children will have chance for informal education in international context.
