DOLOMITI 2014
Start date: Nov 1, 2014, End date: Oct 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project is aimed at 90 students of 4th and 5 th year belonging to a network of Vocational and Technical Secondary Schools located in the province of Belluno. The qualifications involved represent the main learning needs of the workers required by the local industry and business, to face the current economic crisis and social cohesion issues. The students’ profiles belong to the manufacturing and craft sector; IT; maintenance and support services. Catering and Hospitality, tourism, administration. Social services. The schools involved provide curricular work-experience periods (ASL) where students follow schemes based on the integration between theoric/practical education and internships in working environments. These experiences are based on agreements among schools, companies and the related trade associations. The aims of the project are focused on the need to promote the growth of professional and key-competences necessary to be able to deal with the important choices regarding the planning of one's learning process and to regain possession of traditional entrepreneurship skills towards new frontiers, for a real sustainable development. The analysis of the local economic context shows the necessity to intervene in order to add value to the human resources through the vocational educational training and the innovation of products, processes and services. A greater opening towards innovation, in a multicultural dimension and of a sustainable development, can boost exports and improve the tourist offer, giving more job opportunities to the young people. A good opportunity may derive from the diffusion of Internet, in particular by using the WEB.2 tools, that allow a better interaction of its users with the Web services. The diffusion of Internet will contribute to reduce the problems concerning the mobility in our mountainous territory. These are, in short, the main expected results: -Development of professional skills at a European level in the specific sectors of study ; -Improvement of competence and language skills related to the specific microlanguages; -enhancement of the personal skills necessary to settle in new professional settings with flexibility, responsibility and learning skills. The mobility will take place in summer 2015 in Germany, France, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland, for five weeks. The students will carry out work experience in firms where they have the chance to use computer technologies and to observe and work in team. Abroad the partners are organisations or firms which offer formal or non-formal learning, providing an adequate placement and a training programme, suitable to achieve the learning outcomes agreed, and to implement ECVET procedures, based on a MoU. At the end of the training period the learning outcome achieved will be validated and recognized: students will be given credits, the Europass Mobility and the Competencies’ certificate on the basis of the dual system. The cooperation of the national partners has been very important for the definition of the learning needs and the learning outcomes and will be completed in the phase of recognition and dissemination of the results.
