The present education system is focused on knowledge and skills development among students. It is due to the priority of learning objectives. If the teachers want to realize in effective way their tasks they must be convinced of their high competence and abilities. Availability of using the experience from foreign institutions often is limited not by the lack of aspiration or low motivation but mainly by the language barrier especially among teachers with a lot of work years experience. Hence the idea for the project improving the language skills among the staff outside the home country. The realization of two projects with foreign partners has shown the importance of learning foreign languages. It is one of challenges for school, that despite of the various of needs permanently tries to keep the high level of competence. In addition improving the foreign language competence can be important factor In active involvement In the teachers’ education under (50+). It will help increase the abilities among workers and also it will be investment In human capital that is according to the line and priorities In EU, and also will increase the opportunities of our school related to the improvement of the educational system. A week English language course is arranged for educators and teachers who do not teach foreign languages, but wish to develop their fluency and communications skills in English. The continuous professional development has consistently been regarded as a priority of work for teachers from Junior High School nr 6. Different types of activities have been undertaken by the school staff as a result of their belief in the importance of lifelong learning. The creative thinking, the ability to make tough decisions as well as a commitment to dialogue about modern educational solutions are features which distinguish and characterize teachers from Junior High School nr 6. They are also interested in using modern methods in the teaching process. On the other hand, they require further training in linguistic and communicative competence to manage to broaden their knowledge. The eight beneficiaries will be teachers and managers who are interested in developing the skills of projects` management and cooperation in the field of teaching and learning. Furthermore, the psycho-pedagogical staff executing educational programs, the headmaster, the teacher supporting students with special educational needs (the oligophrenic teacher) as well as the sociotherapist will take part in this project. The 50 plus age teachers group will comprise approximately 30 percent of project`s participants. After the end of the training all participants will improve their language knowledge and skills through e-Learning online site which will have been facilitated by the organizer of the English course for three months. The educators` participation in this language development will give the opportunity to gain the knowledge about the European labor standards and modern, innovative teaching methods. Additionally, the anxiety and uneasiness connected with disparity in foreign language proficiency between students and their teachers will be reduced. The project will substantially enhance the quality of teachers` work and skills. It will allow to use English more fluently and confidently. What is more, the school will strengthen its position in the local community as a centre that apart from the execution of the educational program, it also increases the knowledge and skills of staff, recognizes the importance of linguistic competence in education and provides teachers with specific tools for their individual development.
