The aim of the project titled DixIt Yourself! is supporting the intercultural approach in youth work involving partners from European countries by this enhancing the quality and acceptance of youth workers’ and other professionals’ work. The project based on the ideas, results of our tandem training course „Mentor(ed) – aspects of intercultural partnerships” (2015-2-HU02-KA105-000989).Every time when two people meet - there is a chance for intercultural learning. We believe if we take this learning into a deeper level and make the participants awareness for their own feelings, thoughts, preconceptions, and empathy for each other grow, they will be able to see the possibility for intercultural learning and deeper understanding. We designed the training content according to the following objectives:- To promote the importance of creativity, by providing different creative tools and methods;- To establish partnerships between organizations, to exchange good practices, to discover different possibilities for inclusive youth work within the framework of Erasmus+; (with a special focus on migration and working with minority groups);- To discover and understand the deeper aspects of intercultural competences that are developed through storytelling, improvisation and visual art- To explore the concept of "transformational storytelling", how to use storytelling as tool for self-development- To experience the power of nonverbal methods and create ‘visual stories’,- To explore the colorful possibilities of visual self expressionBy turning storytelling and personal narration into visual arts through non-verbal and non-formal methods, we wish to develop the participants awareness and conscious presence. During the project, participants will have the opportunity to experience the power of creating visual art pieces out of the personal stories; to collect personal experiences about associations, creativity, fantasy and their role in art and in the daily life; to discover and understand the deeper aspects of intercultural competences. As a tangible result, we wish to create ~40-50 new and various cards of the magical game Dixit with the participant during the 7+1 days long training course in Szeged, Hungary.
