The title is : Discover you talents and maximise your potentialthe topic of the EVs are: "Intercultural education and lifelong learning" and "New innovative curricula/educational methods/development of training courses". The partners in this EVS project have two clear goals:First the personal development of the volunteers. True this project the volunteers will have a life changing experience. They will not only learn to organize projects, coach others and develop new projects for the future, they will also participate themselves in special sail training and personal development programs on board of the sea going sailing ships, the Tall Ships within the projects of the Sail Training Association Netherlands (STAN). The competences the volunteers will develop are: languages, knowledge and understanding of other cultures, teamwork, overcoming challenges, pushing boundaries, motivating others, leadership, project management, coaching skills. The methods the STAN uses for all her projects are applicable in both private life and work situations. They are well proven and used in top end training facilities and create great results.The second goals of the EVS project is to learn from each other. The volunteers will bring new ideas and methods from the partners to the STAN and after the exchange bring back their experience , insights and knowledge to the partners. We feel privileged that the EVS project is finally possible as housing for the volunteers is now organized in Amsterdam. The partners really look forward to the exchange of methods, experience and joint growth true the EVS. We expect that not only the volunteer will learn a lot, but also the partners. On top of that the volunteers will be working on future projects, idea's on activities, dissemination and extending the work methods. With this EVS project we want to further improve our project quality and professionalism. The volunteers will be selected based on their motivation, experience and background. We specifically want to invite youngsters for this EVS from area's with economic difficulties, youth employment. The volunteers will not only have a experience of their lifetime, they will gain skills and competences, work experience, which will be of the benefit in their future careers.
