Discover our diversity project emerged from the need for young people from other countries to come into contact with young people in our region and we provide them with a space of interaction in a youth exchange . It is important for Sighet to develop activities by youth mobility, to show the world how three different ethnic groups live together in harmony and to motivate young people to participate actively in society . Thus we have identified a partner in Hungary, through a long term partnership is willing to contribute to the promotion of youth and activities in the region. Through the project objectives we intend to increase the level of knowledge among the 28 young people about other cultures and countries, to provide a common framework for communication and learning interaction for them to increase motivation among these young people to participate actively in the life community and to develop some skills and abilities. Another important objective of the project is to raise awareness of young people in Romania and Hungary on the culture and traditions of the two regions and not least to increase the number of young people participating in mobility area and youth programs and partnerships . The project will run over a period of nine months , and the main activity will be held from 03.02.2015 to 07.02.2015 , which will be a youth exchange , with 28 young participants from Romania and Hungary. The young participants were aged between 15 and 30 years , and they come from both urban and rural areas , and we have at least 6 young people with lower opportunities . At the end of the project the participation in activities will recognized through Youthpass. Youth exchange activities will take place over five days, where young people throughnon-formal education methods will improve skills, they will develop their skills and change attitudes about teamwork, ethnic and intercultural knowledge and understanding. They will present their traditions and customs , prepare presentations to the community and participate in debates, public cafes, will simulate the role play, will work in teams , will energize and take contact with living traditions and communities . Impact on the participants is primarily social development , increasing number of young people involved in the social life of the community and the social acceptance of young people of other nations in the European Union . Impact on young people in general will be raising awareness of the need to other cooperation whit other countries and increase involvement in youth activities . At the community level will increase social and ethnic acceptance. Long-term benefits of the project are to develop partnerships with other countries, and the involvement of a large number of young people in the social life of communities .
